Hi! Oh I look forward to exploring some of your picks here, as I always love being turned on by new and also new-to-me vintage stuff from around this beautiful World. I did recognize one on your compelling list here -- I really dig the experimental brazilian tropicalia-tinged album Muito Sol by Ricardo Dias Gomes. I'm wondering if you heard another album I heard in 2023 and found it to be just as delightfully wondrous and enthralling: Cardboad Castles by Seljuk Rustum — on bandcamp. As mentioned to another fine person on shlubshack.. another find for me last year was the stirring spirit jazz of artist Matthew Halsall, whose jazz really sends me. OK. Hope you enjoy and Happy New Year to you and ALL! E
Thank you!! I'm bookmarking this! I needed this! Sooooo lost lately in a sea of old favorites and it's getting old!!!
I get lost in that sea too! Sometimes old favorites are the only thing that will do. I hope you find some new favorites among these!
I can't recall spending so much time combing through an email. Both this and the jazz recs will have me digging for weeks.
I really appreciate this! I would enjoy the time spent compiling these anyway but it's really validating to know the outcome.
Fantastic list. Can't wait to dive into these albums. Thanks!!
