That Tyner+Henderson is a gift. Loved the Charles Lloyd. Now I have 18 rekkids to catch up on. Thanks!

I've only started listening to jazz regularly over the last few years. I'll have to check some of these out. Genuine question: I've noticed from most year-end lists that Kamasi Washington did not get much love. I loved the album. Any opinion?

Yes! I liked it, but not enough for it to crack my top 20. I found it ambitious and I appreciate that he's following his heart and experimenting with different sounds, but it's just not to my personal taste. Among his work, I'm a bigger fan of both The Epic and the EP Harmony of Difference!

Awesome bank-breaking list. Any notable non-jazz recordings you recommend?

Glad to see 'Miniature America' get some love here - a bold and one-of-a-kind album that didn't disappoint.

Great list and I totally agree with the inclusion of BAG's For Peace and Liberty. Free jazz may not be for everybody, but man, what a wild ride it is (was).

I love being a year behind, slowly working through roundups from people with great taste at my own gentle pace. The Jowee Omicil one isn't getting taken off yet, though!
